* Discussed at Task; MAID has at least two parts: enlisting and making a plan, and executing the plan (as in active euthanasia). We will add a procedure code for executing a MAID plan, but we will not start coding the condition of having a MAID plan. Ttenbergen 11:21, 2017 July 20 (CDT)
We are currently discussing if and how we would collect this.

* I can’t see how we would possibly not want to track this, since it’s in the same category as comfort care. Question will more likely be what exactly we would collect: enrollment with MAID, or execution of the MAID plan. An enrollment might mean no action for months after, but it would still “set a tone” in that someone enrolled may not be as likely to want CPR. Ttenbergen 16:30, 2017 July 19 (CDT)

Medical Assistance In Dying is a program that allows terminally ill patients to access the assistance of a physician to control the time and circumstances of their death. See links under #Program Details for more info.

Should we collect this?

  • Discussed at Task; MAID has at least two parts: enlisting and making a plan, and executing the plan (as in active euthanasia). We will add a procedure code for executing a MAID plan, but we will not start coding the condition of having a MAID plan. Ttenbergen 11:21, 2017 July 20 (CDT)
