The batch number identifies a group of patients sent by a Data Collector at the same time, usually weekly.
When collectors send in their TISS forms and diagnostic green sheets each week they include the "batch sent" number. They keep a record of the batch sent, who sent it and on what date (usually on the Sent Report).
Use of the batch number
Data collection
*tracking and finding files quickly
*faster Tiss Form Scanning (less organizing of forms)
*quick filing - no reorganizing
Data Analysis
* Are batch numbers stored in MedTMS/TMSX or used once import is complete? Ttenbergen 12:16, 2012 September 6 (CDT)
