  • why is this classed as "Cardio-Vasc OR" - does it not apply to any wound debridement? Ttenbergen 14:20, 2012 October 31 (EDT)
  • in other words: How to Skin grafting/Debridement and Wound Debridement relate in collection? Ttenbergen 11:34, 2012 November 26 (EST)
    • Both are done by Plastics. Skin grafting is done in the OR whereas debridement can be done in the OR or at the bedside.--CMarks 15:17, 2012 November 27 (EST)
      • so would the debridement in Skin grafting/Debridement be used only for skin grafting debridement, then?Ttenbergen 22:02, 2012 November 28 (EST)
        • Ususally but not always, a patient can have large deep areas with decubitus ulcers or fascitis that require extensive debridement but not always get skin graft.--FLindell 08:59, 2012 November 30 (EST)
          • So would you use 763.29 wound debridement, or 83700 - Skin grafting/Debridement? My point here is that I am not sure how they are different. Ttenbergen 13:09, 2012 December 3 (EST)
          • 837 refers to "burn" skin grafting and debridement. Burns are a specialty category that describe a specific patient population very different from those patients in the 763.29 category.
