Manitoba Health Crosschecking Sending Data

This article explains how to use MB Health Tool.mdb to send data to Manitoba Health as part of Crosschecking data with Manitoba Health.

Instruction

1. follow instructions at MB_Health_Tool.mdb#Starting_the_program to open the tool
2. open query 1_new_export
3. save as new query, using name yyyy-mm-dd-<C> export
   • C is optional, can be used for Comment if needed
   • examples would be 2014-08-20 or 2014-08-20-Resend
4. right-click and design view the query
5. edit the criteria to restrict the data
   • need to document what data one would restrict to, likely referring to the #activity log below Ttenbergen 16:03, 2014 August 25 (CDT)Template:Discussion

--I added the study field on the Design view so I know the cut point of the file that I am sending for now still combination of study numbers and Date sent. PTorres 11:14, 2014 August 26 (CDT)

1. change to list view to confirm the data is correct, then save
2. right-click on the new query and click export
   • export the file as a .csv (text)
     • save in M:\MB_Health_Records_Cleaning\exports
     • file name MH_yyyy-mm-dd.csv, e.g. MH_2014-08-20.csv
   • close program and push Ttenbergen 17:01, 2014 August 25 (CDT)
3. prepare accompanying documentation

2. courier the data to Manitoba Health

Mail going to MHO is sent through InterOffice Mail they have there own courier who pick up and deliver mail here at HSC everyday.. PTorres 13:29, 2014 August 26

• Julie has contacted MB Health to confirm
  • that it would be OK to send single file from now on
  • that it would be OK to replace the current study number (numerical) with the D_ID (15 character string)
