Tiss therapeutic variables: T2 to T7

• T2 - Hourly Neuro checks
• T3 - Intracranial pressure monitoring
• T4 - Mannitol infusion for cerebral edema
• T5 - RX (treatment) of seizures, metabolic encephalopathy (1st 48 hrs). Also see: TISS 48 hour rule

• T6 - hypothermia / hyperthermia blanket
  • induced hypothermia also includes cardiac arrests who have been place on the cooling protocol. See BRR for more information about cardiac cooling protocol.

• T7 - patient restraint (to prevent harm)
