Query NDC TISS CCI endoscopic

This article concerns a TISS76 check that will no longer be relevant when we move to TISS28.

Has a complication DX of bronchscopy/laryngoscopy (779) but no TISS 92 (bronchscopy) or TISS 94 (endoscopy for laryngoscopy) marked.

• I just looked up Laryngoscopy [1]. It doesn't seem to require any endoscopy. Are we sure that T94 would have to be marked for a 779 used for laryngoscopy? Ttenbergen 13:41, 29 October 2008 (CDT)

    • What does "points under scope" mean? Is this just a question of collection instructions being "if there is a lanryngoscopy, code T94 regardless of whether an endoscope was involved"? Q1.2-Has TISS 92 but no complication DX code 779

Any patient with all of the following is an error:

• is a critical Care patient
• has TISS 92(bronchscopy)
• doesn't have complication dx of bronch/larygocopy (779)
• LOS <= 10

Discussion

• Tested 1.2, Problem with query. Says tiss92 is marked but it is not.
