Update process for use of Centralized data front end.mdb

Assume "master directory" is X:\CCMDB\centralized_FRONT_End\, and "local directory" is c:\centralized_data\

To push out a new update

  1. ensure that all queries starting with "P" or "NDC" are copied from the most recent file (if any) in "master directory" that starts with a "!"; this is where Trish/Pagasa will put files with updated queries.
  2. rename the current Centralized_data_front_end.mdb to Centralized data front end.mdb.<date as yyyy-mm-dd><comment if needed>
  3. copy that to subdirectory "versions"
  4. copy new version of Centralized_data_front_end.mdb to "master directory"

To pull down a new update

For now: copy most recent Centralized_data_front_end.mdb to the test directory on your desktop

Going forward: Run copy_centralized_fe_to_local.bat which will:

  1. copy the newest version of Centralized_data_front_end.mdb
  2. when implemented, include Spin-out of common data
