Setting up a new wiki user

Users who are set up as (to be confirmed) Bureaucrats in user rights management can add new users. Right now the Admin account, and Trish Ostryzniuk and Tina Tenbergen are set up with this.

Making a new user

1. click on special pages in the toolbox on the left side, then click login/create account, then create an account (of click here
2. • enter the new username (use lowercase - because the login is case sensitive we have had problems with people getting cases just right)
   • don't enter the password or retype password
   • Enter the real name and email address
3. click by email

This will send an email to the user that tells them how to login.

Setting Rights for a new user

In order to be able to write to the wiki, a user has to be set up as "Sysop" in user rights management. To do this:

1. click on Special pages, user rights management (close to the bottom), or click Special:Userrights here
2. enter the user name exactly as just set up
3. click edit user groups
4. select Sysops and approved under "available groups" (click on one, then the ctrl-button, and then click the other)
5. click "save user groups"
