The AP Sys BP data input field records SYSTOLIC blood pressure value.
If a value for this is not available, follow the missing value rule.
Medicine
Apache Systolic BP is used for the MOST score.
- for MOST - Value selected is one that is "closest to the time" just prior to when the medicine service physician "accepts" the patient to the medicine service.
Critical Care
Blood Pressure when on IAPB (intra aortic balloon pump)
- If on IABP, use peripheral arterial BP, NOT aortic pressure. We want the worst value in the 1st 24 hrs in ICU, so if possible it would be PRE IABP BP. If pt comes out of OR with IABP use peripheral arterial BP not aortic BP.--Dr. Allan Garland, Dr. Bojan Paunovic, --TOstryzniuk 16:28, 31 January 2011 (CST)
Data Integrity Rules
The AP Sys BP must be >=25 And <=360.
