Discussion

• If a patient has a positive urine culture ,but not being treated with antibiotics, but is being followed. The pt. is asymptomatic /or is too confused/dementia to tell. Do you want us to code the cystitis.?
  • If they do not receive antibiotics, they are not treated; therefore I do not code the cystitus. --CMarks 15:15, 22 February 2010 (CST)
    • I agree, I never code it if it isn't being treated.
