ARF (APACHE): Difference between revisions

Note: This applies to the APACHE II ARF checkbox only, see ARF (Diagnosis) for instructions on coding the diagnosis ARF.

To check of the Acute Renal Failure (ARF) checkbox for ICU APACHE, a patient must meet all the following criteria:

for 8 hrs consecutively in the first 24 hrs of ICU admission:
- creatinine > 133 mmols and
- urine < 135 cc
patient does not qualify for comorbid diagnosis Chronic Renal Failure (CRF)

Are there any data integrity rules for this?
