*Do we count blood products if given during plasmaphoresis or dialysis?  I thought that this was on the wiki but could not find it either here or under plasmapheresis.  --LKolesar 11:18, 2016 July 21 (CDT)
**I haven't been counting the products given by the plasmapheresis staff.Someone told me a long time ago not to. For dialysis I have only counted the products that have been given by the ICU staff and recorded on the ICU flowsheet.GHall 11:27, 2016 July 21 (CDT)

* Angio other - see :Category: Angiogram for other types of angios collected
* PT/ PTT  Count one for either a PT or a PTT or an INR.  Any one, two or all of these coags would constitute a count of ONE when done at the same time. Examples:  a PT is only done (this is a count of one); a PT and a PTT are done (this is a count of one); a PT, PTT and INR are done (this is a count of one). TASK Team reviewed Oct 19.15.

The Critical Care database counts the laboratory tests listed in the L Labs Flowsheet Tab for every patient for their entire LOS in a unit.

Lab Collection Process

For every ICU patient, for every qualifying component of the L_Labs Flowsheet tab (see Labs collected list in the Patient Viewer in CCMDB.mdb enter the number of times the test was performed.

See Labs collected list for a list of links to articles for each of the labs collected, with additional info.

If a patient has no entries by the end of their stay, enter a date and leave zeros under all the labs.

Labs done on route

Labs (eg CTs) done on the way to the Unit e.g. from the ER, are not counted since they occur before admission to the Unit.

Angiograms counted even if on route to unit

see Angio_coronary_field#counted even if done on route

Blood Products

see Blood Products in Labs

Rejected Specimens

Rejected specimens are not included in the lab counts.(Discussed at the Task meeting January 5,2015)
