* Dawna, you say you are getting an error "server not found". Are you able to access the internet, though? I wonder if your laptop is set up to access non-eHealth wireless. If you are able to access the internet but not the regional server, please contact eHealth to see if they could set it up so you can see their network instead. If not, hey, at least you will be able to reference the wiki from medical records - should not have to access Regional Server from there anyway. Please update here what you find out. Con

wireless access

  • available in the data collection office and N1N, N1S, N3W, N3E, N2W, N2E and in MICU.
  • not available in Medical Records but access to a hard drive computer is always available for wiki,EPR,email.

VIC

  • able to access wireless on all wards S4/S5/N5/VMICU/MR/S3. Laptops required VIC Ehealth to enter all settings to get wireless.
    • Update November, 2016: Wifi signal strength can vary greatly on the 5th floor: slow to intermittent to no signal at all.
    • Access is also limited in the MICU-some days it works, others it is so slow that it is useless.

Oak

  • Wireless only available in ER.--Lpruden2 09:55, 2014 September 9 (CDT)

StB

  • Have wireless in all areas of the hospital except the Atrium. --LKolesar 07:22, 2014 July 7 (CDT)
    • Would access in the Atrium be helpful? If so I would ask eHealth about this. It might be a matter of the laptop defaulting to the wrong wireless in that area, I would not be surprised if wireless were actually available there. If you ask and get an answer please put it here. • There is no reason to have wireless in the atrium as this is not a clinical area.
  • We do not have wireless in the data offices either because they are not located within the hospital. Our offices are in the Education Building which is not a clinical area. --LKolesar 09:29, 2016 November 30 (CST)

Wireless setup

To use wireless networking, eHealth needs to do the following:

  • ensure that the laptop is added to the wireless networking list
  • ensure that the drivers are set up right

Both of this is done as part of Laptop Setup.
