So, in regard to a fall in hospital without an injury, use this code only if there was actual additional medical observation that resulted from the fall, e.g. an extra day in hospital.

  • AG REPLY -- Tina, I think the stuff below is it. But note, as I indicated in an email I just sent you (8/28/2018) I think we should change ALL the mechanism codes from "Mechanism of injury" to "Mechanism of accident or injury".
    • That change would make these code names very long; how important is this change?
