Final Check is a checkbox in the CCMDB.mdb that needs to be checked for a patient's data to be sent. Checking the box will launch final automatic error checking, and the box will not get checked if there are errors.

Ideally check the Final Check box as soon as you have entered the last data for a patient, while you still have their chart. This way you will be able to fix errors without having to get the chart again. Also, it saves time during sending.

History

The box used to get checked on send-day. This was because the PDA could not do the error checking, so data could only be fixed after syncing it into Access. With the move to laptops it is no longer necessary to wait for send-day. In the past, the filter button on the Patient Viewer screen was used to limit the listing of patients to only those who are complete. This was based on having a "C" in the Record field, not on being Final Checked. The Final Check variable was never present on the PDAs.
