Legacy Use
- C - Co-managed patients. Cardiology & ICU attending looking after a patient in MICU.
- Was used at HSC and STB only, starting ???, ending ??? 2008
Discussion
- clarify: does OBS mean a patient who is in the ICU for observation, or an ICU patient who has gone to obs/er? I don't know what Obs means here, maybe someone else knows? Tina?
- As far as ICU at STB is concerned we don't use variable 1 at this time. LKolesar

- Overflow to other units - Critical Care HSC and STB only still refers to this one. Looks like usage has changed. One or both locations need to be updated. Tina.
- Not sure what you mean here?TOstryzniuk 15:21, 22 July 2008 (CDT)
- Follow the link. The page refers to how var 1 may be used at those locations. Is the information on that page still accurate? If a corrected version still refers to Var1, this page should refer to it. If not, the comment is done. Ttenbergen 16:10, 22 July 2008 (CDT)
- This page lists out examples of how to code overflows and includes the Co-managed CCU/MICU patients. The Co-managed ones are LEGACY examples. On that page how to you relegate the items with VAR 1 C to legacy examples?TOstryzniuk 17:26, 22 July 2008 (CDT)
- If you mean the "overflow to other units" page lists legacy items, then that is what I mean. That page and this current article both talk about Var 1 use, so they should be the same. If there is Legacy info, it should be moved under a heading "Legacy" and added to the "Legacy Data" category. Also, we would need dates when that collection started and ended.
