Patient has been admitted to D4 from H3 after Nephrectomy. Went from OR -> H3 -> D4 in same day and was only there a short time. Was unable to enter nephrectomy as admit dx because the patient did not come from an OR. Patient was sent by entering "pain control", but that was because checks would not allow using nephrectomy, not because of evidence in chart.
Apparently we might see more of these because the procedure is now done laparoscopically.
I am proposing to remove the requirement for admission from OR from this diagnosis. If there is a problem with that, please let me know.
