This article discusses the change to collection practices to accommodate the changes to the medicine wards at the Vic in October 2017.
New units collected
The following units will be newly collected:
- VIC_N5C - C for complex care patients
- VIC_S5C - C for complex care patients
- VIC_N4 - no C added, as this is TCA unit and not complex care patient. We don't have N4 in CFE.
Implementation
New units have been added to laptops, don't use until #transition time.
To Do
- Pam and Shirley will let us know by Sept 19 who will be primary on N5 and who will be primary on S5.
- this will need to be set in s_locations_allowed_collection.
Units no longer collected
After #transition time, VIC_S4 and VIC_S3 will no longer be collected. Template:Discussion
- how about plain VIC_N5, no C? Will that need to go? Ttenbergen 18:39, 2017 September 16 (CDT)
These need to be inactivated in s_dispo table and cleaned out of s_locations_allowed_collection.
Transition time
Morning midnight on either Oct 3 or Oct 20.17. Template:Discussion needs update once known. Ttenbergen 18:39, 2017 September 16 (CDT)
Collection change plan for admission continuing over transition date
Any patient that is still on collection unit will be followed until discharged from that unit as change will not happen in a day.
For the first new admission to N5C or S5C after #transition time, Serial number will start at 150.
