-patients are transfered to ER for assessment and treatment from the ward,they are there until the ICU bed is available. This is happening often lately.There usually isn't a way to tell if ICU has accepted the patient,nor is the charting in emergency reflecting that they are accepted to ICU. I use the time they arrive in the ICU as the admit time, previous location is Con_ER, previous inpatient institution is Con_W.Admission orders are written after the patient arrives the accept DtTm=Arrive DtTm.
