The GCS sedated field is a checkbox used together with the Glasgow Coma Scale; if the patient is sedated when the GCS is documented, this box is checked.
This is about a proposed change, collectors please weigh in early.
The "sedated" field is true/false field that will be true if the patient is sedated at the time that the Glasgow Coma Scale is assessed.
