  • MNS is an adverse reaction to neuroleptic or antipsychotic drugs characterized by F E V E R .For example F =Temp>38 E=Encephalopathy V=Vitals signs are unstable E =Elevated CPKs R=Rigidity muscles Drugs such as Haldol, Chlorpromazine ,Metoclopramides, Lithium, and antiparkinson drugs Levodopa can cause MNS.
    • So now I have a question ,If a pt has MNS we code 519 MNS do we also code 499 21 Accidental toxicity-other drugs ?
    • No. This would be redundant. --TOstryzniuk 18:27, 21 December 2010 (CST)
