When collectors send in their TISS forms and diagnostic green sheets, they include a "batch sent" number each week. They keep a record of the batch sent, who sent it and on what date.
The purpose of batching:
- tracking and finding files quickly
- faster scanning (less organizing of forms)
- quick filing - no reorganizing.
In the first sending week of the New Year, the batch sent number is reverted back to start at one.
