January 27, 2011 - Vacation planning

Vacation planning for vacation the period April 1.2011 to March 31.2012, will be starting Feb 15.2011.

• Everyone will be mailed the following:

1. vacation entitlement list for your site
2. vacation request form (this must be emailed or faxed back to me before the date of your appointment).

• Please POST a copy of the vacation entitlement list in your office.

• There is a vacation planner for 2011-12 on the Regional Server. Starting after Feb 15.11 you can check there for updates to help you in regards to planning your vacation.

• Vacation is awarded based on seniority at each site.
• Reminder: the ICU and Medicine database program are not separate programs. Operationally, there will be one person allowed to be off for vacation at any given time at a Hospital site.

• I will be sending out email request for vacation planning appointments shortly. Appointments to discuss vacation plans will be done via phone on scheduled appointment date.

• Feel free to discuss amongst your team members at your site. At a site, if there are overlapping requests for vacation weeks that cannot be resolved, then seniority will be the deciding factor. I will do my best to try and meet most vacation request times.
