Extra shift sign up sheet
Extra shifts available for this program at all sites in the Region can be found on the Regional Server in a folder labeled Extra Shift SignUp.
- The number of extra shifts made available is at the discretion of management. There will not always be 100% coverage.
- Vacation shifts not covered during vacation may be offered, at the discretion of program management, to staff returning from vacation. These shifts must be picked up immediately & during consecutive weeks when they return from vacation. If shifts are not picked up during the immediate week you are back, these shifts will no longer be available as extra shifts.
- Question: What if you have had an extended vacation and are significantly behind when you return and you don't want to pick up extra right away to catch up? It seems a little unfair to say that the shifts will no longer be available as extra shifts, how will the data collector then ever catch up?? Trish, I am not sure if that is what you mean by the above statement. --LKolesar 14:05, 2012 March 20 (CDT)
Shift sign up not on Wiki
- Now that our Wiki is password protected, there has been a request to Post on Wiki Vacation planner and Extra shift sign up sheet. Will attempt to come up with something and we will give it a go.TOstryzniuk 19:55, 23 January 2012 (CST)
- have explored some options to post on Wiki. The main purpose to have shift sign up on Wiki is to make it more convenient for regular staff to sign up for hours from home computer. Purpose was also was make it easier for 4 casual staff to sign up on shift from home. At this time it is apparent that the maintenance of a shift sheet on Wiki is too labor intensive for main office staff. Staff who want extra shifts can look at Regional Server when they are at work. Casual staff who and interested and available for shift can email Trish or Pagasa. Half of the causal staff are in regularly and they do look at Regional Server to sign up for shifts. It may be at a later date that we can come up with and alternate idea for shift sign up on Wiki. Trish Ostryzniuk 18:03, 2012 February 8 (CST)
