TMSX and MedTMS
TMSX (Template Master Series-X) is the proprietary software that acts as the primary repository for the Critical Care database; MedTMS (Medicine Template Master Series) is its more recent counterpart for the Medicine database. They are sometimes referred to as "Ed's program", after their programmer Ed Roberts from Template Master Series LTD. The software encrypts our data, does some integrity checking and provides a front end to do some data analysis. The data is stored locally on each PC that uses the program, necessitating regular data updates. Additionally, the program is locally installed on each PC, so updates and fixes need to be applied for any PC where it is installed.
Users
- Both softwares are used at the main office
- The TMSX software is used by the Critical Care Team at St Boniface General Hospital for basic local, locally authorized analysis
- All other sites use the Data Access Application Process
