Updating TMSX or MedTMS Data Files

The data files for TMSX and MedTMS need to be updated manually on any computer that uses the software.

Who can supply up-to-date files

  • Pagasa manages daily updates of TMSX and MedTMS "data files" for the computers in the main office.
  • Trish manages the distribution of data files to any other sites.
  • Currently only STB ICU program gets updated, upon request. TOstryzniuk 11:24, 25 September 2008 (CDT)

Update Process

Automated Main Office process

<Pagasa needs to tell which of Category:Batch Files contains this. > Process is going away, no need to update.

Manual process

  1. Confirm with Trish that the most recent version of the software is installed on your PC.
  2. Request new updates from Trish to be copied to:
    • Regional Server\STB_UPDATES (since StB ICU is the only place that does this)
  3. Copy the updates to the local computer, specifically:
    • C:\TMSX\data
    • C:\MEDTMS\data
