Med Var 2 is used track the specific ward a patient was discharged to. The statistician uses this data to detect patients with a continuous hospital stay.
Enter the specific ward at your hospital that the patient was discharged from before coming to your ward. Possible values are listed in the Var 2 dropdown box. If the ward is not available in the dropdown or can't be determined from charting, choose "OTH".
We are working on allowing the entry of this data also from other sites. As of now, the program will list only wards from the own site. The change is on the list of requested CCMDB changes for the next version. Ttenbergen 10:10, 14 October 2011 (CDT)

Data Integrity Checks
Any medicine patient who is discharged to a ward at the same hospital must have Var 2 entered.
