The L_ files and tables are where the actual patient data is stored. L_ stands for "Local", in contrast to the [["S" Files]].  
The "L_"-tables store the actual data collected on patients. Their structure is the same at all locations, but the content differs. L_ stands for "Local", in contrast to the s-tables.  


There are L_ files on your [[PDA]], which is where [[HanDBase]] stores its L_ tables. Copies of these files are located on the desktop PC and on the network in the L_Handbase folder, and there in a subdirectory corresponding to the location of the PDA.
Copies of the L-tables exist at specific [[File Locations|file locations]] on the laptop and on the [[Regional Server]].
The L_ files [[sync]] into the L_ tables of the same name in the [[CCMDB.mdb]] Access program.
