Significance
APACHE score is reflection of severity of illness. APACHE scores can be used to better understand patient severity of illness and it’s influence on other quality indicators.

Mean APACHE Score

Num = Sum of all patient's APACHE Score in a given period
Denominator
Denom = Total number of patients
Formula
Mean APACHE Score = Num / Denom
