Location profile
H4H is a high observation (HOBS) ward at HSC.
- Physicall location: 7th floor and is called H7S on EPR
- For data collection purposes, code Service/Location field as H4H.
HOBs is an independent unit and not incorporated within a CTU staffing model.
Population types
The intention of HOBs is for patients that require more intense nursing care for part of their hospitalization. Some of the patient populations that are or could be admitted to HOBs but not limited to: Stroke 25, Post-Transplant Recipients, Care plan treatments/medication requiring cardiac monitoring or more frequent nursing interventions.
