The Var1/2 data is collected to allow us to match ward admissions into a continuous stay record, where the "to" and "from" fields should match the location fields in the counterpart records.

* In the past we have collected actual names for all wards at hospitals. That means a lot of options that have to be maintained. I would like to move to only collect by name the locations we collect and to call the others eg "HSC Ward". This is the first draft implementation of the dispo table.
