TISS28 item T43 without Bronchoscopy/Laryngoscopy dx
TISS28 refers to any scope, so dx 779 is not required at the same time. and dx797.
Bronchoscopy/Laryngoscopy dx without TISS28 entry 43
Template:Discussion Is there a scenario where this would be allowed? "I just looked up Laryngoscopy [1]. It doesn't seem to require any endoscopy." That would mean if a laryngoscopy was done, a fill endoscopy might not have been. If this were possible, this check would give false-positives. If not possible then this half of the test could be implemented.

Will we want this cross-check in ICD10/CCI? If so what will be the details? The relevant codes are likely (T) Glottis, Larynx, Related Structures, (T) Bronchi Inspection, Exploration (non-endoscopic), Inspection, Exploration (endoscopic). Ttenbergen 00:15, 2017 December 12 (CST) |
- The Bronchoscopy/Laryngoscopy dx are old codes. If we want to do this in acquired CCI vs TISS28 item Endoscopy (any type of scope) in the ICU, we can say, if Inspection, Exploration (endoscopic) or Biopsy (endoscopic) is present in acquired CCI_2 regardless of the body part in CCI_1 then TISS28 item Endoscopy (any type of scope) in the ICU should be marked and vice versa. --JMojica 14:12, 2018 November 13 (CST)
