This article discusses the change to collection practices to accommodate the changes to the medicine wards at the Vic in October 2017.

New units collected

The following units will be newly collected, see location articles for details:

• VIC_N5C
• VIC_S5C
• VIC_N4
• VIC N4C

Units that will discontinue

• VIC S4 - we will no longer collect location
• VIC_S3 - we will no longer collect location
• VIC_N5 - location will be collected VIC_N5C
• VIC_S5 - location will be collected VIC_S5C
• VIC EMIP - no more med, so no more EMIP
• VIC MICU

Patients already admitted will be followed until discharged from unit. For locations where we continue, use new Service/Location when new patients are admitted after #transition time.
