The ADL fields in the Registry should be visible for Medicine and invisible for critical care. Sometimes they show up for CC and go missing for Medicine. Data is not lost, and usually restarting CCMDB.accdb fixes the problem.

If we can pinpoint the situation where this happens I should be able to fix it. If anyone can make this happen consistently for a patient please email me with your ward and the patient ID. Thanks! Ttenbergen 11:03, 2013 July 29 (CDT)

work-around

  • read the error listing
  • click the reset button on the main form to get back into your regular mode
  • correct the data for the patient
  • click pre-send checker again

debugging notes

Legacy_Hider is run on Form_Open for Patient Viewer, and at no other time.

ADLs showing in CC

as per Lois, and confirmed by other collectors at the team meeting: "Every once in a while when I open my files the ADL’s appear on my registry page for CICU. I go in and out and they disappear."; have asked if anyone can provide specific steps that can make this happen. Ttenbergen 18:42, 2012 June 7 (CDT)

as per Marla StB: I’ve had a bit of trouble with my CCU program this morning. 2 of the patient files, the newest file and the oldest file have occasionally come up as “medicine” format with the medicine apache score page. When I reboot, sometimes it reverts to ICU format, sometimes not. If it would be consistently wrong, I could confidently complain, but it’s not consistent. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to “send” but that went through OK. Just wanted to let you know that it’s misbehaving….sometime of the time.Ttenbergen 17:05, 2012 November 15 (EST)

ADLs hiding in Medicine

If a medical patient has a transfer ready date after their discharge date the minimal data check will trigger. Debbie showed me this for a patient who had no time entered for a discharge date, making the transfer date appear to be earlier; when this triggered, her ADLs disappeared. When the patient is opened again next the ADLs are missing.

  • Every once in a while they will disappear. Why I don't know and I can't remember if I had done anything to cause a problem. Usually I exit the program and when I come back in the ADL has returned.--CMarks 14:08, 2012 November 5 (EST)
