*if patient develops trach site infection that need to be tx with antibotics, AFTER admission then code 93 - with pathogen subcode in COMPLICATIONS/ACQURIED DX coding.
*if admitted to unit with a trach site infection that is already present prior to admission, then code trach site infection 93 (with subcode) as part of the ADMIT DX.  No need to code 774 in admit DX. 
**you can have a Trach (774) without a trach site infection (9300), but you cannot have a trach site infection (9300) without a Trach (774).
