Desktop shortcuts for collection laptops

All data collection laptops should have the same shortcuts on their desktop. To make sure they are consistent, and available for all users who log onto the laptop, we use the Desktop install.bat to set them up.

Fix if any shortcuts are missing or incorrect

• Open the regional server
  • use Regional Server shortcut if available and navigate to Maintenance directory

if the Regional server shortcut is missing:

open a file explorer window: press the windows key plus the letter E key on your keyboard navigate to the Regional Server Option 1 - go there by address: paste the full address into the address bar: Regional Server\​maintenance\\ad.wrha.mb.ca\WRHA\REGION\SHARED\ICU_DATA_COLLECTION\maintenance hit enter Option 2 - go there by navigating through the folders: Find your “x drive” and double click it to open it double click region folder double click “shared” double click “ICU data collection”

• navigate to (double-click) the maintenance directory
• run (double-click) Desktop install.bat

Shortcuts that should be present

The following are the same for all laptops

• shortcut to CCMDB.accdb
• News and Backup
• Regional Server
• RIS/PACS
• CCMDB wiki (this wiki)
• Wikipedia
• google
