- Use this code for chronic weakness (including paraplegia or quadraplegia) that resulted from polio infection in the past. This code is used when the weakness from the acute infection never resolved.
- Thus it's different from Postpolio syndrome where any weakness with the acute infection DID resolve, but many years later the weakness came back.
