Patients occupy bed in different locations during the whole stay under the same service for various reasons. LOS per location is simply the difference between the End Date/Time and Start Date/Time of stay in that physical location.
Start Dates of collection
- Critical Care: July 19, 2018 - started in project "Borrow Arrive" which was moved and continued to project Boarding Loc
- Medicine: Sept 20, 2019 in project Boarding Loc
Data Sources
- The physical location(s) and start dttm (arrival date and time) on each location are taken from Project Boarding Loc
- Admit DtTm and Dispo DtTm

Inclusion Criteria
- All ICU admissions - see Definition of a Critical Care Program Admission and
- All Medicine admissions - see Definition of a Medicine Program Admission
Exclusion Criteria
None
Frequency
- Reported when patient had been discharged out of ICU/Medicine.
- Monthly, quarterly, year based on discharged date of Dispo DtTm
Definition and Derivation
- LOS per location is simply calculated as the difference between the End Date/Time and Start Date/Time of stay in that location
- Depending on the number of locations (n) where the patient stayed, we have n locations and n start date/time
- Location 1: Start date/time= first location start date/time and End Date/time= second location start date/time
- Location 2: Start date/time= second location start date/time and End Date/time= third location start date/time
- Location 3: Start date/time= third location start date/time and End Date/time= fourth location start date/time
- Location n (last location): Start date/time= nth location start date/time and End Date/time= Dispo_DtTm
- if there is only one location, Start date/time= first location start date/time and End Date/time= Dispo_DtTm

Mean, Median, Sum (in days to 1 decimal place) per physical location per site per time frame
