Additional Info
- Tracheal tumors may also be benign (not cancerous) but still cause a problem due to restricted airflow through the trachea, potential malignancy and growth too large to treat easily:
- Chondromas, the most common type of tracheal tumors, form from cartilage that makes up the trachea. This type of tumor may turn cancerous after a period of time.
- page Bone or cartilage, benign neoplasm says to code chondromas as that. how about chondromas of trachea? Ttenbergen 22:00, 2018 July 17 (CDT)
- Chondromas, the most common type of tracheal tumors, form from cartilage that makes up the trachea. This type of tumor may turn cancerous after a period of time.
- Hemangiomas, tumors in tiny blood vessels, may affect both children and adults. If a child with a hemangioma birthmark suddenly experiences breathing problems, a hemangioma tumor should be investigated.
q Hemangiomas... now I wonder if this will be an issue with all "type of cancer" vs " location of cancer" distinctions... |
- Papillomas are tumors caused by the human Papillomavirus (HPV). Papillomatosis refers to multiple papilloma tumors.
Papillomatosis - kind of concerned about leaving this here lest someone use this code for non-thach papillomatosis. If anything mention of this might need to move to Papillomavirus. |
