You certainly could expect that someone with THIS code should also have a code of Respiratory failure (insufficiency), chronic, but I feel less strongly of the absolute NEED for that, than I am to say that if you have THIS code, you should definitely NOT also have Respiratory failure (insufficiency) NOS, acute.
