Hypertensive heart disease includes heart failure, thickening of the heart muscle, coronary artery disease, and other conditions.

  • I have been reading a few charts where patient has a comorbid of "hypertensive heart disease" but no mention of cardiomyopathy or heart failure. Is this code appropriate for that comorbid or does the patient have to have cardiomyopathy? Malcudia 09:24, 2019 June 6 (CDT)
