Thoracic endovascular aneurysm repair (TEVAR) is a minimally invasive alternative to major open surgery for the repair of thoracic aortic aneurysms (TAAs) that results in reduced recovery times and potentially improved survival rates. It involves placement of a "stent graft" which reinforced the aneurysm. A stent graft is a metal tube covered in fabric, and thus as there is no excision or removal of native tissue, the CCI action here is Repair, not Excision with Reconstruction, Replacement.
