Do you want to save changes

Sometimes when you close something in Access (eg. a form in CCMDB.accdb you get a message "Do you want to save changes to the design of ...", listing the type of Access object (eg. table, form...) and its name next.

• Almost always: click "No", close out of the program and restart. Or, to be certain, consider Copying down a clean version of CCMDB.accdb
  • a part of CCMDB was somehow changed and Access is asking if you want to make it permanent. This is almost always accidental and not what you want
  • this comes up as part of Troubleshooting

  • in this case you are making a change that you want to keep
  • keep in mind this will be wiped out the next day when you do News and Backup, so see Tweaking the Interface to Fit the Work
