This article describes how the Data Processor generates PseudoPHINs.

Instructions

  • run query NDC_Phin Fake or Blank to find patients without a PHIN
  • for each patient on the list,
    • click the "cat" button (it's really two hands being shaken...) to bring up possible matches for that patient if he/she has been encountered before
    • if one of these matches the patient
      • copy (ctrl-c) the PHIN
      • open the patient's record
      • paste (ctrl-v) the PHIN into the PHIN field
    • if none matches the patient,
      • if it makes sense for the pt to not have a PHIN (Template:Discussion steps? KEA? other?Ttenbergen 22:41, 2014 September 29 (CDT))
        • generate a PseudoPHIN:
          1. open the patient
          2. click the pseudo button to the left of the PHIN field label
          3. the program will look up the highest previous PseudoPHIN and enter that + 1 into the PHIN field

  • There was reference to "sort 'RecStatus' by ZtoA "; that probably means that incomplete patients should be excluded from this query. If so, let Tina know Template:Discussion.Ttenbergen 22:41, 2014 September 29 (CDT)
  • There was reference to "sort by LastName"; I can't imagine why, could you explain? Template:DiscussionTtenbergen 22:41, 2014 September 29 (CDT)
