The admissions in each ICU logbook (MICU and SICU) are numbered consecutively 1-11, and then starting at 1 again. Using this numerical sequence will divide the workload according to the percentage for each EFT noted above. (Using 1-11 is easy to follow, but the percentage will not be exact for the EFT. To be exact we would need to use sequence 1-30, which may be harder to follow for collectors.  '''Will trial number sequence and distribution with 1-11 first and see how it goes.''')

* I don't actually understand what you are doing here... how are those 11 numbers used?
**I tried to explain it a bit better above. Hope that helps. It's just a way of ensuring that the lower EFT with take proportionately fewer patients. --[[User:Jvelasco|Jvelasco]] 11:46, 2020 March 24 (CDT) }}

How is the workload split?

Laptop identifier

    • TOTAL EFT: 2.05 EFT
  • H9 laptop (a): (0.75/2.05)x 100 - 36.6% (will do 36.6% of all ICU patient admitted).
  • H8 laptop (b): (0.55/2.05) x 100 = 27% (will do 27% of all ICU patient admitted).
  • H7 laptop (d): (0.75/2.05)x 100 - 36.6% (will do 36.6% of all ICU patient admitted).

Workload splitting 1 - 2015 May to Feb 2020

This ward/unit uses HSC ICU locations and serial number sharing/workload splitting locations as follows:

  • HSC_MICa starting 2015-May-01 - ENDED: 2020-Feb-18
  • HSC_MICb starting 2015-Aug-05 - ENDED: 2020-Feb-18
  • HSC_MICd starting 2015-May-22 - ENDED: 2020-Feb-18

Legacy IICU

Since the IICU census increased to 8 beds, we are splitting the workload as follows:

  • ICUa laptop - 3 patients
  • ICUd laptop - 3 patients
  • ICUb laptop - 2 patients

This ward/unit uses HSC ICU locations and serial number sharing/workload splitting locations as follows:

  • HSC_IICa started: 2015-May-01
  • HSC_IICb started: 2015-Aug-05
  • HSC_IICd started: 2015-May-22

Implementation

2015-04-29 for laptop a, b, d

History

Started on May 1, 2015. Patients already entered onto your laptop prior to this start date did not have the location changed.

The b laptop used to be the SICU one.

All locations started at serial number 150. See: Start with NEW serial number at 150
