This is Legacy documentation, the batch file is no longer used. - Ttenbergen 12:35, 21 August 2009 (CDT)

Is a batch file which uses PKZIP to compress (zip) & back up ACCESS "mdb" files from the Regional Server's OUTPUT directory to main data processor's (Pagasa's) C drive. The output directory is already backed up by eHealth, this is just a secondary safeguard.

File Locations

  • You can find copy of all batch files on:
X:\ccmis_backup\Copy_of_batch_files_on_Pagasa_C_drive.zip

Backup Process

  • Backup is done manually once a week either on Thursday or Friday, after each sending day which is Wednesday each week.
  • Not alway done once per week as per Pagasa.

Backup Bug - Discovered Feb 09

  • Important! Trish and Pagasa reviewed this backup today. Notice that as of August 26.08 the archived zip files cannot be opened anymore. Error message....etc. Pagasa noted that she got her new computer July 31.08. This backup last done in June. The next time she did this backup was Aug 26.08. From that point on, the zip archive cannot be opened.--PTorres 16:04, 6 February 2009 (CST)-- & Trish
    • Trish, we should probably review how we back up anyway. Right now it happens inconsistently and there is no plan for purging old backups. Further, there are multiple steps involved on Pagasa's part to back up everything. I don't think this is really all that big of an emergency. eHealth keeps backups of the regional server, this process is just a backup to their backup. Ttenbergen 09:37, 10 February 2009 (CST)
      • Emailing Trish to set a time for this. Ttenbergen 14:51, 18 August 2009 (CDT)
        • This backup is not necessary anymore and will stop. Regional Server is backed up and also a copy of these files go on X therefore, there is no need to clutter Pagasa's C drive with this backup. TOstryzniuk 17:02, 20 August 2009 (CDT)
