• This code is for any kind of cardiac stress test
  • Regardless of whether the stress is induced by exercise or pharmacologic provocation
  • Regardless of how the "measuring/evaluation" is done -- i.e. it includes standard ECG monitoring, echo monitoring, nuclear (e.g. MIBI) monitoring, other types of cardiac imaging monitoring, etc.
    • When cardiac imaging is done as part of a stress test, do NOT also code the imaging itself
    • Only for resting cardiac imaging should one use either the picklist or components
• This code does NOT include cardiac monitoring at rest, i.e. without stress.
