HSC CAU is the Clinical Assessment Unit at HSC (further info on CAUs).
HSC Specific CAU Information
At HSC the CAU is considered part of the Emergency Department. However, occasionally Medicine overflow patients end up in there. See HSC Boarding Locations#CAU for more info.
Collection instructions
If a patient is admitted from HSC CAU: (further changes in progress)
- Previous Location HSC CAU
- Previous Service Family Medicine
- Pre-admit Inpatient: HSC CAU
If a patient is boarding on HSC CAU,
- enter a Boarding Loc for the CAU stay as you would for other wards
