This template is used to make sure instructions are consistent in in the ischemic cut dx pages:

Mesenteric ischemia guideline

This refers to ischemia of small or large intestine.

Excludes:

• ischemia of the stomach, use Disorder of stomach or duodenum, NOS (but for duodenum use appropriate mesenteric ischemia code)
• ischemia of the liver, use Disorder of liver, NOS
• ischemia of the esophagus, use Disorder of esophagus, NOS

Includes:

• "ischemic bowel"
• "ischemic gut"
• all of the intestines except noted in "excludes"
