Includes
- copious/excessive respiratory mucus -- such as mucus plugging, or even if it's just requiring very frequent suctioning.
- If a reason for admission is copious secretions that require frequent suctioning (e.g. that can't be handled on the ward), then it should be combined with Observation for reason NOS.
- mucous plugging of ETT, combine with Upper airway obstruction, NOS and Failed/difficult intubation, or complication of intubation
